Frequently Asked Questions
Where do your gold rates come from?
Our PKR rates are derived from the international gold spot price (XAU/USD) converted to Pakistani Rupees using the prevailing open-market USD/PKR exchange rate, then expressed per tola (11.6638 g), per gram and per ounce for 24K, 22K, 21K and 18K purities.
How often are rates updated?
Rates refresh several times a day during market hours. Every rate page shows a "last updated" timestamp so you always know how fresh the number is.
Why does my local jeweller quote a different price?
Sarafa associations set local market rates that include dealer spreads, and jewellers add making charges (typically 8–15%). Our figures are the converted international benchmark — a reference point, not a shop quote.
Can I reuse your data?
Yes — our JSON API and CSV datasets are free for non-commercial use with attribution (a link back to goldrateinpakistan.org). See the API documentation page for details.
Disclaimer: The gold and silver rates provided on this website are aggregated from various local bullion markets and Sarafa Associations across Pakistan. While we strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date information, these prices are indicative and subject to continuous market fluctuations. They do not include making charges, local taxes, or dealer commissions. We recommend verifying the final price with your local jeweller before making any transaction.
